Completely re-designed Drill UI, bosses, huge gameplay changes, drill events and more!

Hi everyone!

This patch has been in the works for quite some time and I am glad to finally release it.

Version 1.1 Patch Notes

General

  • New Bosses.
  • New weapons, buildings and drones.
  • Slightly reduced the difficulty.
  • Knowledge is now gained quicker.
  • Shortened the length of each run.

Drill Changes

  • Forge – New Drill module used to spend Forge Cores to increase crafted equipment’s power.
  • New random events that can happen while drilling!
  • Increased chance of finding higher rarity equipment.
  • Renamed all gear from old/advanced/expert to now be Mk1/Mk2/Mk3.

In Game Changes

  • New level types can now appear, including special boss levels.
  • Completely new map generation for tunnel maps. No longer linear paths and more balanced difficulty in comparison to open maps.
  • Reworked awareness system – New visual indicator of progress towards next awareness level.
  • Enemy waves are now directly tied to awareness and appear each time the bar is filled.
  • Artifacts – In each level you will find Artifacts randomly scattered throughout, activating them will provide a bonus but cause the swarm to become more aware.
  • Forge Cores – Randomly spread throughout maps, collect them to upgrade your Drills Forge.
  • Artifacts and Forge Cores appear white on the minimap.
  • Burrowers have been removed from normal maps and can only appear as a negative modifier.
  • New Hunt unit command – Units will automatically explore and clear the map.
  • Projectiles can no longer go through walls.
  • Units and buildings will not aggro or target through walls.
  • Vipers are now ranged.
  • Blueprints are now obtained 2x faster in the second/third biomes. This should help reduce the grind needed to collect them all.
  • Death nests spawn more swarm.
  • Can now give orders to units/drones using the minimap.
  • Medic units will follow units that are in combat.
  • Healthbars now appear over selected entities, or press Left-Alt to show for everything.
  • Added display showing average resources gained per second.
  • Many bug fixes.

UI Changes

  • Completely redesigned the UI in the Drill view.
  • New Drill log that captures the history of your current run.
